Evaluation Terms

Scope
These Evaluation Terms apply when you request the Bitruvius JavaScript SDK for MapLibre or run the Bitruvius live head-to-head tests on this website (together, the "Evaluation"). They supplement our Terms of Service. The SDK itself is licensed under our End User License Agreement, which controls if it conflicts with these terms.
Who may evaluate
You request the Evaluation on behalf of the organization named in your request, and you confirm that you are authorized to do so and that the information you give us is accurate. Requests must use a work email address at that organization.
The live tests
The head-to-head tests run in your browser, on sample data that Bitruvius provides or on a file you choose. A file you choose is decoded on your own device and is never uploaded to Bitruvius; we record only its format and approximate size. You must have the right to use any file you test. Results depend on your hardware, browser, and other workloads on your machine, and are offered for evaluation only, not as a guarantee of performance in your environment.
Information we collect
We store the details in your request, which tests you run, and whether you open the SDK documentation, and we use them as described in our Privacy Policy. We contact you about your Evaluation only if you allow it in your request.
Customer reference consent (optional)
This section applies only if you tick the separate, optional box in your request. Your Evaluation does not depend on it. If you opt in, you grant Bitruvius, on behalf of your organization, a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to:
- name your organization as an evaluator of Bitruvius products;
- display your organization's name and logo, unmodified, on our website and in sales, investor, and marketing materials; and
- publish aggregate statistics derived from your organization's Evaluation, such as the number of tests run and the data types tested, combined with other evaluators' data so that no individual person is identified.
We will not attribute a quote, a specific benchmark result, or an endorsement to your organization without your separate written approval. You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing contact@bitruvius.com; we will stop new uses within 30 days, and need not recall printed materials already distributed.
Changes
We may update these terms. Each request records the version accepted, and changes apply only to requests made after they are published.
