Last night at the AWS Builder Loft, Bitruvius was selected as one of three finalists in the Step SF 2026 Pitch Competition. Today we take that pitch to the main stage at The Midway in San Francisco. Huge shout-out to the team. And a killer pitch from Steve Santovasi.

Bitruvius Team at AWS Builder Loft for StepSF 2026

Why we were there

We’re already building Bitruvius: geospatial infrastructure from first principles, from high-performance spatial computing and next-generation compression to infrastructure built for imagery, 3D, AI, and the systems that increasingly depend on spatial data. The datasets kept growing. The GPUs kept getting faster. The formats sitting between them mostly did not. That gap shows up as storage, bandwidth, and time to first pixel. We started Bitruvius to raise the ceiling underneath that work. Step SF is a room full of founders, operators, and investors building the next wave of the AI economy. Spatial data sits under more of that stack than most people notice. We wanted the conversation to start there.

What happens next

The finals are this afternoon on the main stage at The Midway. Three minutes. Then live Q&A. If you are at Step SF today, come find us. If you work with imagery, point clouds, 3D, or any pipeline that is paying a tax to formats designed for hardware that no longer exists, we would like to hear what you are shipping and what is slowing it down. Talk to us: bitruvius.com/contact The product is already live. Decoders, the Imagery & 3D Suite, and the MapLibre SDK are on the site. This is just the beginning. See you at The Midway.
